Weak Hero Class 2 – Episode 1 Recap: Si-eunโ€™s New Fight Begins

Our most wanted drama Weak Hero Class 1โ€™s second season, Weak Hero Class 2, has been released yesterday, 25 April. Netflixโ€™s action, thriller, school drama continues Si-eun and his new friends as they face even more brutal challenges outside of school, testing their strength, loyalty, and will to survive. With the slogan Fight to End Game of the series, letโ€™s start Episode 1 recap.

Before starting, letโ€™s recap a little where the dramaโ€™s Season 1 ended. We saw that Suho was in a coma from the fight, and Si-eun got transferred into a new school. And for whom all those things happened, Beom-seok was sent abroad after that incident. Now next.

The episode starts with a scene where we see some schoolers starting a fight and our main lead, Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon), running forward to the place. The scene cuts there; we see Si-eun now sitting in a place and hallucinating about the previous days with Suho and Beom-seok and the incidents that happened to him. Then we see that it was Si-eunโ€™s dream. Si-eun nowadays is taking therapy, but he didnโ€™t clearly tell his life to his therapist. His therapist then said that he should get good sleep and gave him sleeping pills.

After that, Si-eun leaves for his school. In school, everyone sees him with the eye of fear. Everyone goes aside when he comes and does not dare to bother him. After reaching the class, we see a boy accidentally push him. He is one of our main leads, Seo Jun-tae (Choi Min-yeong). He apologized to Si-eun and rushed to deliver breakfast to some studentsโ€™ table. He was actually forced to do that because he was bullied by them. After completing that, he checked a list where every studentโ€™s name was available. Gathering courage, he went to Si-eun and asked his phone model. But for obvious reasons, Si-eun didnโ€™t answer him for this sudden strange question. Later we see Jun-tae gather some phones and give them to a person, Choi Hyo-man (Yoo Su-bin, one of our valuable characters). After collecting the phones, he asked Jun-tae for Si-eunโ€™s phone and why he feared Si-eun. Hyo-man then kept hitting Jun-tae and asked him to bring his phone asap. Here he was bullying other students also.

Moving forward, without finding any way, Jun-tae somehow managed Si-eunโ€™s phone and gave it to Hyo-man. But Si-eun, knowing that, didnโ€™t say anything to Jun-tae and just kept this aside. But for Jun-taeโ€™s guilt, he again and again went to Si-eun, saying so many things without accepting the truth and saying sorry. As we know Si-eun likes being alone, he told him not to be that coward. That line hit Jun-tae the most, and he just stayed behind him. After that, we see Si-eun now living with his mom. In previous episodes, we saw that he was living with his father.

Okay, later, Si-eun goes to a hospital. In that hospital where Suho was admitted, he is still in a coma, and Si-eun is sitting in front of his room and telling + writing to him about the days of his life. Also saying to him, โ€œWhen youโ€™ll awake?โ€ Actually, he is eagerly waiting for Suhoโ€™s senses to come back, but still, his condition is not good. The next day, Si-eun went to school, and he faced Hyo-man while he was bullying Jun-tae again. Si-eun didnโ€™t say anything to Hyo-man except just move from his way. But here he was remembering Beom-seok being bullied and how he couldnโ€™t handle it and stabbed with a pen. But it was his illusion. As we know, every student doesnโ€™t dare to mess up with Si-eun, he also just moved from his way without saying anything. After leaving the place, we see Jun-tae come to Si-eun, and here he somehow wants to pay off his guilt and do some good for Si-eun. And here he confessed that he took his phone and gave it to Hyo-man. Later he apologized to him and also asked for help: โ€œHow can I stop being a coward?โ€ Here Si-eun helped him, saying, โ€œYou know Newtonโ€™s third law โ€” without an action, there wonโ€™t be reaction.โ€ Jun-tae understood his words’ meaning and realized he should fight with his fear.

Scene cuts here, now weโ€™ll meet a new villain character. We see Hyo-man go to see a person. Here every student like him collects phones and gives them to him. And here the person is Geum Seong-jee (Lee Jun-young). Yes, he is here as a second lead villain. Surprised, right? But Iโ€™ve already revealed it here in the blog earlier. You can check out that there. Here Hyo-man came to talk about the phone collecting, saying he will give 100 phones by next week, and then left the place. Scene cuts here, and we see Jun-tae thinking something about the words Si-eun said to him earlier. Maybe he is planning something.

The next very morning, Jun-tae goes to the place where every phone is stored. He took all the phones and returned them one by one with a sorry note. He gave Si-eunโ€™s phone also. That day at school, Si-eun got his phone and saw that Jun-tae is sitting with his head covered. Now Hyo-man falls into pressure seeing no phones there, and he had just given his word to Seong-jee. He got mad about that and rushed to Jun-taeโ€™s class. Here Jun-tae looked scared, but he hid it and faced Hyo-man, ready to fight. But we know that Jun-tae is a very sweet little boy who knows nothing about fighting. As expected, he was beaten by Hyo-man. Seeing Jun-tae beaten, Si-eun remembered how he was also beaten by the thugs. So here our hero stood for Jun-tae, saying, โ€œDonโ€™t cross the line.โ€

And Episode 1 ended with this part. In the next episode, weโ€™ll see how Si-eun stands for Jun-tae and the rest of the storyline. Gonna be so much exciting. Stay tuned with Kwavey. Iโ€™ll be right back tomorrow with Episode 2 wavies! Till then keep exploring.
