Hi Wavies! To be honest, August was a bit slow for us, right? Like no interesting K-drama or the drama we wanted to watch. But yes, after a boring slow month, here comes September with some interesting dramas. We can predict that September will be exciting. Cause from high-stakes political melodramas to heartfelt romcoms to intense mysteries, all gonna happen in September. And grab your detective caps cuz we have some clever crime cases as well. And I’m sure gonna watch those 8 K-dramas. So let’s unlock our 8 K-dramas for September 2025
1. My Youth

This drama is for my Wavies who love nostalgia and second-chance romance. My Youth is a dream come true of one of our favorite actors, Song Joong Ki. This slice-of-life drama will show us a former child actor who was once a bright star in his youth. But this child actor Sunwoo Hae has stepped back from the spotlight to become a novelist. And then suddenly, enters his first love Seong Je Yeon. After their meeting, this show will show us an emotional side, how they’ve survived together and the truth that initially pushed them apart. They broke up.
Later, Je Yeon, once from a wealthy family now in struggles, because her family suddenly fell into ruin. Now she is only looking for success. As she reconnects with Sunwoo Hae again, she disrupts his life and begins to confront her innocent past, leading to personal transformation. I can imagine the emotional reunions and the meaningful glances. Classic K-drama feels right! Gonna watch it for sure.
2. A Hundred Memories

Back to our nostalgia again. You know the cast of this drama are my super favorites. Like Dami, Nam-Jun, Kim Jung Hyun, Ye-Eun, all are one of the best. This is the drama I’m excited about the most. The story will begin from the 1980s. And it is all about nostalgia, friendship and dreams. The drama will show us how 2 women who were bus attendants in the 1980s, navigating the ups and downs of life while chasing first love, career goals and personal ambitions. Later, we are gonna see a cozy slice-of-life experience with a relatable and heartfelt storyline. And we all know the cast of this drama always gave us real-time experience, life lessons, made us smile and remember our own youth. It’ll be perfect for bingeing on rainy weekends.
3. Queen Mantis

Starting strong with a psychological thriller, Queen Mantis. This drama is a remake of a French series called “The Mantis Lamonte”. Here our female lead Jung I Shin is a serial k!ller with her nickname Mantis. She is approached by her son, a police officer played by Jang Dong Yoon. He needs his mother’s help to investigate and catch a copycat killer. This reconnection creates strong emotional tension between them, as trust and resentment mix with their past. With high stakes involved, the lead characters give outstanding performances. Jung I Shin and Cho Seong Ha also star in this gripping mystery thriller. If you enjoy detective stories and crime-solving, “Queen Mantis” is a must-watch this September.
4. Confidence Queen

The interaction between them is filled with playful banter, surprising twists, and moments that will make you cheer loudly. And you already know how Park Min Young was so cheerful and twisted the table in the past “Marry My Husband” drama. So I’m expecting much from her!! Excited to see her new drama in September.
5. You and Everything Else

- Cast: Kim Go Eun, Park Ji Hyun, Kim Gun Woo, Kim Jae Won

This series is all about lifelong friendship between two women. Ryu Eun Jung is a straightforward woman who draws people in easily. One day, one friend battles terminal illness, and the other is asked to stand by her side in her late stage of cancer. This drama is going to be emotional. I’m expecting a meaningful storyline and moments that will leave us sobbing into our blanket. And besides, Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun are absolute powerhouses here, and I already know their chemistry will be unforgettable. Other casts are also superb in this K-drama.
6. Tempest

Here comes our political K-drama. This K-drama is for those who crave suspense and action. Tempest will have you at the edge of your seat. The plot focuses on the risks of revealing political truths, especially a case that connects South and North Korea. Our female lead is a respected diplomat who meets a mysterious mercenary.
